Week 16 Part A: Developing Your Marketing Strategy
The Salt and Citrus Artisan Soap Co's future strategy would include a Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, and Google page. These integrate best with our small soap business because they are easy to use, they can be promoted, and posts can be scheduled in advance. I appreciate the analytics available through Meta’s platforms and the direct sales options. They offer total visibility through the resources, pages, and ad accounts you manage. Facebook also allows managers and business owners to assign roles to employees for each page and ad account.
Google is also a great option because they
offer its Business Profile tools help to build customer awareness. Google
Ads can also create an increase in web traffic and direct leads. Because Google
Analytics is a free tool that provides website traffic reports we can build the
content visitors are looking for and remove what doesn’t work.
Salt and Citrus is not up and running
at this point. It is difficult to fully see the benefits of the Facebook and Google
options because we do not have enough data or followers. However, I have
enjoyed using Instagram the most. Posting pictures of our product, providing product
information, and connecting with other businesses has been a fun experience. I
loved seeing my classmate’s pages and seeing what they were creating.
For our small business, a couple of
hours over a week to talk to your current customers, answer questions, and
provide customer service over social media is probably a good first step. As
we grow we will invest more in our social media and perhaps hire someone to
manage our pages for us.
