Week 7 Part B: How Other Businesses Use Instagram

City Worship Church is well represented on Instagram. They use the site to promote events, welcome visitors, and request donations. I like the mix of images used on the page and the tone it sets. They include their website and are active posters.

BOOTS Secondhand Clothing is an innovative idea. There is so much waste in our society. I love a grassroots movement to repurpose and reuse items. They use this page to let customers know where they are going to be and to showcase their discounts and new arrivals. This site is a little rougher than some of the others that I visited. I am not sure if it is meant to be intentional.  For example, the clothing backgrounds are inconsistent.

Craze the Label uses Instagram to create a brand for their business. They have a feminine California vibe that resonates with San Diego. The colors and theme are consistent. In addition, they also use the platform to showcase discounted items and new arrivals.

Loft 914 is a local hair salon that uses Instagram a lot. The owner works with a company called Thrive, an internet marketing agency that provides social media marketing for small businesses. Her Instagram account is very active and engaging. She uses the site to display new techniques, hair care tips, new items, and staff.
