Week 15 Part A: What we Learn from Google Analytics
Salt and Citrus Handmade Soap Co. is a very small business. I am not sure that we have a need currently for Google analytics. Although, it is important for SEO that we are positioned correctly with helpful information and links for our customers. Analytics would be an interesting tool to better understand our customers. I also like the option to use surveys. We could use them to find out about which farmer's markets they would like to see us set up a booth. Surveys would also be a fun way to get input from customers on new scents and ingredients they are interested in trying.
Google analytics allows business owners to integrate
Google Ads with Analytics to view a complete customer cycle and gauge if the
marketing goals will be reached. It would also be interesting to test
personalized landing pages. For example, Mumzworld achieved a 300% return on ad
spending using these tools. Their
goal was to increase online sales and gain more repeat buyers. lower the cost for
user acquisition and conversions, and manage on-site inventory and out-of-stock
product views. They approached their goals by implementing Analytics Enhanced
Ecommerce for shopper insights. These tools gathered cost-related metrics from non-Google platforms, re-engaged top user segments across channels,
and created automated reports for out-of-stock products.
As a very small business, I would want to ensure that we were positioned for an increase in sales. We would need a surplus of inventory and a staff ready to fulfill customer orders. Planning and preparation would be essential to our success as we grow and develop our SEO.
