Week 10 Part A: Researching Email Marketing
A monthly newsletter would be appropriate for my soap business. Each month I would highlight a different ingredient or essential oil I use in my products. I would talk about the benefits of the ingredient, where it is sourced, sustainability, and vitamin content. I would offer special promotions during holiday months. I would also partner with local charities and highlight the work they are doing and how our donations have helped them. I would link to the organization and list ways customers could help.
In addition, to product and charity promotions we would also host events such as book clubs, popup yoga classes, and beach clean-ups. We would include information on how customers can join. We would also work with other small businesses to cross-promote. We would like to partner with a CBD store to produce CBD body butter.
Lastly, we would include where our products will be available for purchase. Which farmer's markets we will be at and other businesses we have consignment agreements with. I will link to my blog, social media accounts, and e-commerce sites, and feature any new vlogs.
I believe that customers like to feel connected with certain brands, and their communities, and be informed about products they love. There is a lot of confusion about ingredients and customers appreciate transparency. I would keep the letters short and add links to in-depth information.

Hey Jordan! I loved this idea for what you can include in your newsletter! Focusing on a new ingredient each month feels like a great idea to highlight specific products!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your blog post, Jordan!
ReplyDeleteI agree with how you should add any new product information or charity promotions to your newsletter. I also love your idea of highlighting a new ingredient or essential oil for each month. This will definitely gain traction to your site by doing so!
A monthly newsletter would definitely be enough to keep your brand relevant to your customers - and I love your idea of linking with charities. I also like the idea of partnering with a CBD store, very creative! And letting people know where to find you in person (farmers markets) is a really good idea.
ReplyDeleteThe same as you, I believe that one letter a month with innovative information is an excellent way to keep the customers curious to open the newsletters and read what is new in our business. Thank you for sharing, great post.
