Week 3 Part B: Developing a Brand

I will be developing a brand for my wellness studio. We will offer skincare, yoga, and artisanal organic products made locally. The name of the studio is Salt + Citrus. Our logo consists of a simply drawn lemon with a few leaves and a cleanly printed font with our name. The “and” in our name is represented with a plus sign. Our font is called “THIN PRINT REGULAR." Our overall color scheme includes white, black, forest green, and citrus shads. We will use a corresponding wallpaper behind the front desk and in the restroom that resembles our logo. The aesthetics of the studio will include an abundance of natural elements including wood, metal, and clay. Much of the open area will be white. We do not have a tagline.

Our studio will display bowls of citrus on shelves and at the front desk.  Large floral displays consisting of citrus leaves and accompanying fruit will welcome guests.  We will offer complimentary water infused with citrus. We will have a signature scent and a product line that mirrors our name. It will be made with pink Himalayan Sea salt and citrus essential oils. There will be an infuser of citrus essential oils in every room. We will not use fragrances or anything artificial.

Our name and logo project a clean fresh environment with a focus on natural local ingredients. Salt + Citrus offers facial and body spa services, locally made products and provide a connection to its community based on simple joys. The spa service menu will offer signature, facial and body services using pink Himalayan Sea salt and citrus essential oils. All efforts will be made you utilize ingredients.

To connect and strengthen our relationships, we will offer a monthly book club and host wellness professionals, authors, parenting experts, religious gurus, and nutritionists as guest speakers. We will offer special and seasonal classes on soap and candle making. There will be limited yoga classes with an emphasis on restorative, mediation, and “mommy and me” classes. We will host monthly sunset yoga classes and Sunday evening candlelight yoga to reset for the week ahead. We will connect with our neighborhood through community service events. Our studio will build holistic relationships beyond a typical spa/yoga experience. We are creating a safe place to grow, learn, recharge, and have fun.

Our brand recognition will include our logo and font on our website, products, and promotional merchandise. Our merchandise line will include, water bottles, coffee cups, yoga mats, tee shirts, signature spa products, candles, and an organic skincare line. We will not sell any products made in China. We will focus on local creators and partner with them at every opportunity.
